I started in Saratoga to meet up with Matt K and the crew at the Alpine Inn for a 30-mile reunion ride. After some fries at the Alpine Inn I finished my 90-miler by riding back to Saratoga.
Climbing La Honda and Skyline was not a lot of fun after an hour rest with fries and a coke at the Alpine Inn and 55 miles into the ride.
Most of the extra time was the hour a the Inn with the gang.
This is why I moved to California 29 years ago. It's December 15, the midwest to the east coast is getting pummeled with freezing rain or snow. In the Bay Area it was around 45 degrees at 8AM and sunny.
