Good to be back home riding centuries. My 29th century of 2010 so I'm nearly back on track for one a week for the year.
The backside of Mt Hamilton is a fun descent but not a very fun climb
The crowd gathering at the Linda Vista School construction site. Greg is ready to roll and Donny is taking a ride meter reading in the background
The riders at the ready
Franz took it easy and I still couldn't keep up with him
Dennis leading the main field
Guy chatting up another one
Cindy of Cindy and Steve
Jan, my Mt Ham backside partner followed by new Garmin owner and Steve of Steve and Cindy
Clyde moving his butt up Mt Hamilton
The valley shrouded in fog
The Lick Observatory, so close yet...
Getting closer but...
Heading away from the observatories toward the backside
One of the observatories at the top
A completely different landscape on the way to The Junction
More wild, wild west
Kinda dry out there
Lonely roads even with 100s of cyclists and motorcyclists coming and going
A horse ranch miles from The Junction
Andrea, the queen of long distance cycling, who came from the Livermore side. Stopped shopping (see bag) long enough to say hello.
Andrea and yours truly taken by Clyde. We went east, she went west
Clyde and Andrea
Closing in on The Junction
Proof. Very busy place today.
Heading back toward the mountain and as usual I grew weary of the photography and put the camera away
