First view of the stadium and arch from Wembley Park tube station.
The GA queue (i.e. the standing on the pitch queue) was nicely broken into sections.
First in the GA queue gets a free book. This Italian guy was second but number one was first at Dublin 3 and has his copy already. He'd been there since 10am the previous day. I forget his name though! Lea or something I think.
The queue wound around the stadium ...
This was at about 1pm.
U2 fans synchronise a back turn when I ask who wants to buy my book. One dreamer ponders his favourite cloud.
The base of the arch. Wembley is a dazzling stadium.
Grey London sky, grey Wembley stadium, grey budget supermarket.
Pieter Smit lorry (I like to take a snap of one at every stadium).
Portuguese guy dressed as MacPhisto. Fantastic! I asked him if he was going to try to get on the stage but he was determined not to. Pity, it would have been great!
Adrian and Karina were first in the other GA queue. They've been getting closer to first for many concerts, finally got their book!
I wanted to get some photos of fans selling tickets to ticket touts for a little video I'm gonna make. There were a LOT of touts.
Negotiations.
Deal?
Photographing the photographers.
The view back towards the tube station. Here comes everyone!
Wem-ber-ley! Wem-ber-ley! And we're off to Wem-ber-ley!
Grey cars in a grey carpark.
The doors open!
Block by block.
On your marks, get set ...
Or no deal?
Mon the Celts! Saw three bhoys in total.
Deal!
This bloke won't 'aggle.
The Claw lands in Wembley.
Elbow arrive.
Mr Elbow comes to say hello.
Notice the large tennis court sized area behind the stage. Would make a good dancefloor.
Elbow - great tunes, not quite the right environment for them but they were very rather good.
Hurray for Elbow!
The shopping mall below the seats.
Showtime!
Blurry Larry takes the high road, blurry Edge, Adam and Bono below on the right.
Breathe
Bono comes to say hello. I really need a decent camera. Or a better seat.
There was an Indian family in front of me: mum, dad, granny and four year old boy. The youngest U2 fan in Wembley!

Wembley is a very vast (can I say very vast?) but very beautiful stadium.
Still sitting.
On their feet at last
And granny rocks out! Beautiful Day and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For never fail to rouse a whole stadium.
Unforgettable Fire
Bono escapes the memorable flames
City of Blinding Lights
There was this guy jumping around on his own like a complete loon during the whole concert in the tennis court behind the stage: playing air guitar, busting some moves, swirling his T-shirt over his head, on his knees, the whole gamut. Turns out, it was actually a protracted mating dance. He was joined after an hour by a young female.
Vertigo. Screen almost eats the stage. Visuals spin dizzyingly quick around.
I was trying to get a snap of what it's like inside the screen. Lots of metal and cable surprisingly.
Bono shows off his left jab to the camera
Crazy Tonight
Larry bongos around the stage

Drumcree Road comes to Wembley
I left a bit early during the last song cos I needed to get somewhere quick(ish). Many, many other people had the same idea. Transport from Wembley is appalling.
