Part of the hike in was through a ranch. We only lost our route 7 times.
Our first good view of Gilbert Peak.
David waltzing through a meadow.
We eventually found Warm Lake where we would camp.
This camp location seems suitable.
We dropped our overnight gear at the lake around 5pm and started making our way up Curtis Gilbert.
About halfway between the lake and the summit.
A live tree, a dead tree, and the Columbia Plateau.
A dead tree in front of a live tree in front of Mt. Adams.
Mt. Adams and David.
David in a moon scape.
Be the alpenglow David.
The shadow of Gilbert Peak, some alpenglow, and some fresh September snow.
Mt. St. Helens and the sun streaking over the hills. A picture of there from here: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/_n3PyFuV4-_sUN9MghQ9AA?feat=directlink
We are in the alpenglow.

The harvest moon having a little rave.
David siting on the Meade Glacier under the Big Dipper.
Moon glow on the Meade Glacier.
Mt. Adams under the stars. It was hard to get this picture sharp due to the high winds on this side of the ridge.
Harvest moon!
Back at camp.
Snow reflecting at night in Warm Lake.
It was quite a calm evening until out of nowhere a massive gust destroyed our camp and launched our tent.
We got really creative as the night wore on.
Good night Warm Lake. We would wake in the morning to driving rain and we high tailed it out of there.
