Indonesia - Jakarta Buses - TransJakarta (BRT)

Transjakarta is a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Jakarta which commenced operations on 15 Jan 2004 in a bid to reduce the traffic congestion in the city by encouraging commuters to switch to public transport. There are currently 8 corridors in operation and are jointly operated by 6 bus companies. These are: Jakarta Express Trans (JET) - Corridor I; Trans Batavia (TB) - Corridors II and III; Jakarta Trans Metropolitan (JTM) - Corridors IV and VI; Primajasa Perdayana Utama (PP) - Corridors IV, VI and VIII; Jakarta Mega Trans (JMT) - Corridors V and VII; Eka Sari Lorena (LRN) - Corridors V, VII, VIII

China - Jilin Buses (Changchun, Jilin & Changbaishan)

The mountainous province of Jilin is renowned for its natural beauty, and is exemplified by the Changbaishan mountain range which straddles the border of China and North Korea to the southeast of the province. In addition, the provincial capital of Changchun is also home to FAW, which has the distinction of being China's first automotive plant when it was set up in the 1950s with Soviet assistance. In addition to FAW buses, the public transport operators also operate a wide variety of buses from other Chinese bus manufacturers such as Yangzijiang, Ankai, Chang An and Shao Lin.

China - Liaoning Buses (Dalian & Shenyang)

Shenyang is the provincial capital of Liaoning province and is also the largest city in north-eastern China. Unlike many other cities in the region, the public transport is operated by a number of operators which include Comfort Delgro bus, which is owned by a Singapore based transport operator of the same name. In addition, the coastal city of Dalian has much to offer for the transport enthusiasts as almost every conceivable form of transportation can be found. In this album, the city's public buses, BRT Huanghai-MAN buses and the century old electric tram system are featured.

China - Heilongjiang Buses (Harbin & Mudanjiang)

Photos of buses taken in Harbin 哈尔滨, Mudanjiang 牡丹江 and Jingpo Lake 镜泊湖. Most of the fleet feature front-engined buses in order to cope with the harsh winter conditions in China's northernmost province. This includes custom-built front engined variants for the newer Huanghai and Yutong citybuses.
