Visualizing the potential with our realtor
The backyard when we bought the house
Step 1 - $8000
Step 2 - Dig a money pit, I mean, dig a pool - $Too much
Step 3 - Install gunite in pool, build the waterfall - $"It's all included"
Step 4 - Build dirt up around the pool, install tile. No swimming allowed
Starting to look a little different
Step 5 - Install concrete around the pool.
Hmmm. How to enclose the pool?
Well, if I spend a lot of money and build some more walls that might help.
And how about one to hide the pool equipment.
Wall workers hard at work.
The previous was for the pool equipment. This one is on the side of the yard. $_____ (What did we think our budget was anyway?)
Step 7 - Give up trying to wheelbarrow around all the dirt yourself. Hire a cowboy with a bobcat to help level the center of the yard and build a path to the pool. $250 - (very wisely spent).
Step 8 - Finish hand shaping flowerbed too late to take a picture so you can appreciate our hard work. Maybe you'll see better pictures tomorrow.
