Adam at the Wirepass trailhead.
Galen inspects the ashes from last night's fire
Wow, it's gets stunning suprisingly quickly!
We reach the junction with Buckskin Gulch and head inwards.
The first obstacle - a pool saturated with cow manure - enthusiams ebbs.
But, hey - it's not so bad - as long as one can't smell one's shoes!
Galen savors the experience at the N^th pool - good news is that the cow-evidence is diminishing. Clearly, they are much smarter than I had previously credited. The water is cold!
It's simply incredibly beautiful. And the pools have disappeared!
Alas, this pool wins. Adam is lucky to retrieve the shoe, but not without collateral damage. And now he has to smell it.
The sun patches, rare, were much welcomed.
It alternated between sinuously narrow and grand.
Adam and I climbed up an interesting dead-end canyon.
Puts one's aches and pains in perspective.
Back at the junction with Wire Pass.
A bonus treat we missed on the way in...
