Looking at Guayabitos from a hill on the south end of town.
Closer view of the central area. These two pictures were taken during the Christmas holidays, which is why the beaches have so many people. A lot of them are from Guadalajara and Tepic, which are only a few hours away. There was hardly anybody in town the second time we visited.
Lunch with the bikers. Tressa and Curt, to Lori's left, are the people we met further north at Celestino. The other couples are their friends from Canada who visit Mexico on their motorcycles.
Of the two main roads in Rincon that both parallel the beach, the road closest to the beach is blocked off about every two blocks by what are called "retornos", which are side streets leading down to the beach but instead of allowing the driver to go the length of the beach, they form dead ends. It's a headache if you're trying to find something, because you have to go back out to main street to get a block further to the next retorno, but it keeps traffic slow, which is good, because they are lined with small hotels and condos. These retornos also serve as pedestrian walkways down to the beach.
One of the small hotels.
Sidewalk at one of the "retornos" to the beach.
Looking north from the RV park we would like to stay at in the future.
Looking south. The round building on the hill is a restaurant, and is where the first two pictures were taken.
Mexicans love lots of color!
