The road from the RV park to the village. John is the speck in the distance.
I zoomed in on John. You can see how we carry the wheelchair on the scooter. Thanks Roger!
Looking down the beach from the bottom of the beach access road in the next picture
The only beach-side village restaurants, on the left, overlooks the beach.
We are walking into town but turned to look back over the RR tracks at the beach. The road to the RV park parallels the tracks.
Same view but zoomed in. The sign is to the RV park where we are staying.
Here is the anti violence sign. The red symbol next to the ribbon symbol is the anti-abortion message. Literal translation:
Circus...definitely not Barnum and Bailey! Check out those old trailers! they only had a few small farm animals. No rides, etc. Under the tent were set up ancient bleacher-style seating with a small platform for the performances. It is only here for 5 days.
Our 'shrimp cocktail' lunch. A delicious spicy broth with about 12 medium shrimp. Served with tostado chips. we weren't sure what to expect when we ordered but it was good.
This small church is in the lot near the circus.
Typical road...taken when we drove into the nearest town of La Cruz
The campground owner drove into Mazatlan on Saturday to buy shrimp. We bought 2 kilos-4.4 lbs-for $240 pesos = $18.40. I cleaned them (23 shrimp) and froz them in containers for 3 meals. YUM!
Some cleaned...notice the fresh veggies in the background? There is a veg truck that comes 2x/wk to the park. YUM!
