Levi picked us up and took care of us.
We went to Griffiths Observatory which has some good views.
Here is the Foucault pendulum grazing a peg - it demonstrates earth's movement, so on and so forth...about 2 swings later it actually knocked the peg over.
TRAGIC
I squealed to see this li'l cloud chamber
Einstein and me covering up unfathomable galaxies and the like by covering a finger-width of sky
We left LA that day and stopped a bit outside Bakersfield, got a nice fresh start the next morning.
I was pretty excited to see such different scenery
OMG this cow factory was huge and terrifying.
Windmills! Too bad about the streaky windshield.
The Blue Angels were flying over San Francisco when we went through, but it is extremely difficult to take pictures of trick flying from a moving car.
This over the shoulder shot out the window was better than anything else I took.
Yay, proper Pacific!!!
So, suddenly on 101 there are signs for the largest Roosevelt Elk herd or some such, and they're just lounging around like it ain't no thing.
Redwoods...I made Corin promise I would be able to go touch on one, and this results.
Here is the other incredibly brilliant over the shoulder no-look shot I got - I wanted a pic of Corin heading into the woods to pee, just for laffs, if you see, and mysteriously he was doing this when I checked the camera. He has no explanation and was very shocked to see his limbs in this configuration when he got back.
He says the speedometer jumped up when he tried to take a picture of my inadequate speed. IT IS CALLED DRIVING WITH TRAFFIC!
His response to me not passing everyone on sight on the highway through Portland
The view from Portland's interstate
Carley and Noche, still devoted to each other
Corin catching up once we could relax at Carley and Logan's
Just over the border into BC, and mountains visible on the horizon!
SPEED LIMIT: 100! (kilometers.)

BEAR
The joke is that I'm wearing this shirt while in Canada
Moonlight showing some suspicious white powder on the road
Faint reflection of snowy road in side mirror
YIKES
We were taken completely unawares, fortunately didn't have to skid to realize snow on road.
Stopped for the night in Toad River, alerted RCMP to motorists off road behind us.
The good thing about a surprise early stop is an early start.
Muncho Lake lay before us yet.
Corin wouldn't stop for caribou pics, but we saw bunches, especially the night before, as a bonus obstacle on the icy road.
We also saw tons of deer, and I took this tasteless picture because I was in a snit about the lack of caribou slow down.
Finally, the buffalo!
Check this fresh guy out.
Teslin
Weary
Tired
We were getting sooo close to the Skagway pass
And of course here comes the terrible snow
Ice!
As soon as we got to the US border it was greeny green.
Familiar sights

Le Conte
Good riddance, Skagway, you really creeped us out this time.
