Winter season, my favorite. Once you master how to cope with blisters, and cold, this is the most magical time of the year. Gliding on the snow, snow covered mountains, wind, challenges of finding a route are great fun. This is our first camping trip of the season. In Jan 2006 we did it in the opposite direction with Lisa, Darren and Shiko. The trip is a good way to build your stamina, test your strength and your equipement. This time we started on Friday night, which put us a Hwy 93 at 15:32 on Sunday, perfect time to hichhike back to Sunshine. We were picked up by a climber, Erik, coming back from Hafner. For future references it took us 1.5 hours on Friday, 7 hours on Saturday, and 5 hours on Sunday. There is still not a lot of snow, so trail breaking was easy.
