Sera Monks debate
The monks have been preparing for the year end debates that are coming. These are serious exams that they are required to participate in. Tsultrim (standing), who is in his first year of Parchin (Perfection of Wisdom Teachings) is being helped by Yonton (sitting) who is now in his 5th year of Parchin. Tsultrim is a quiet, almost meek young guy who has totally surprised me with his debate style. He is doing very well, has a great mind and as you can see keeps on pushing ahead regardless of all the debaters tricks that Yonton is throwing at him-taunts, looking bored, saying to others he's an idiot, twirling his rosary etc.. I recommend watching the whole thing as there are some unbelievable flurries between these two-who else could talk so fast?
