Sodium and Zirconium Silicate, ingredients for a High Temperature Cement
My High-Tech mixing apparatus ;-)
Glue applied to brass, stainless steel screws and thermistor leads, after drying
Glue applied to stainless steel screws to make insulated standoffs (nichrome is silver brazed to screws)
Stainless threaded studs glued into a brass heater barrel to form insulated standoffs for nichrome wire
Glass fiber gasket material, with a short section teased apart to yield parallel fibers to insulate thermistor leads.
Ceramic fiber insulation (sold to insulate ceramic kilns)
Threaded Aluminum pieces thread onto this (conventional) brass heater barrel, the holes painted with the glue accept the screws brazed onto the nichrome wire, forming another kind of insulated standoff.
Glass encapsulated thermistors, with leads wrapped with glass fiber and coated with the ceramic glue.
