Blue Lake Bike Tour
The morning began with a congregation of cyclists on the Arcata amidst bright rays of sun. Seven of us embarked on a mini bike tour to Blue Lake. After swinging by Aaron's house and rousting him out of a deep sleep, we stopped at the fish hatchery to feed the fish and watch a trout feeding frenzie as the Fish and Game guy fed them buckets full of pellets. We continued riding on to Stardoughs in downtown Blue Lake where we sat, sipped our lattes, and pontificated on the future of Greenwheels in the media, the credibility of media sources, and other issues and non-issues. Finally we road some dirt single track that opened upon the Mad River and Blue Lake's class I bike/pedestrian trail. What a treat! Taking a right, we headed back over the bridge and hit the Arcata Farmers' Market just as it was taking off. A great morning ride with great friends. Thanks to everyone who rode.
