The approach from Bear Lake. Dragons Tail Couloir is the strip of snow to the left of the left-leaning spiny thing on the ridge-line.
It snowed six inches the night before and conditions looked prime.
Ian stopping to show off his new backpack and shiny blue helmet.
David and Ian pushing on the skin.
Crampons on at this point, the new snow started warming up in the sun and there were a few small slides coming down the gully.
While the clouds were a welcome break from the strong sun, unfortunately some weather was coming in. This is part of the line we skied down, the less sketchy part.
About 3 hours from the car we topped out on the ridge.
David getting ready for the descent. At this point a lot of the new snow was freezing solid, aside from a few protected spots up top.
Looking up from the lake, post ski.
