Lunar Eclipse
Wednesday evening Feb. 20, 2008, the sky cleared in time for the eclipse - and temperatures plummetted. I set up my new Canon S5 on a tripod; I used the full 12x optical zoom, and some shots I threw in a bit of digital zoom just so the viewfinder showed me more. I used manual mode, 2 second shutter delay to let the tripod setting, and I varied the exposure times from 1 to 6 seconds. In the dark, in the freezing cold, without having read the manual, I worked out most of the buttons I had to press to get these!
