"Hey! Nellie! PSSST. Come here!"
"I need ideas. I was going to sew something for Sara, but all I've got is this really plain white cloth. It's boring. I demand ideas."
Nellie took the cloth. "Well, everything looks better with big bows, Miss Kirsten." "I demand ideas that don't stink, then."
"Geez," said Kirsten. "If only there was another history doll who knew how to make plain cloth really cool!"
Ivy overheard and approached Kirsten. "What? Why not just tye dye it?"
"What in the world is tye dye, Miss Ivy?" Ivy laughed. "Dude, you don't know? What do you wear to Greatful dead concerts? Here, give me the cloth, I'll make it groovy."
First, Ivy soaked the cloth in a special mixture of water and soda ash.
"Now, once it's soaked, we'll take the dyes and -- "
Unfortunately for Ivy, Bean overheard. "Slow your roll, hambone."
"You three are NOT getting near dye. At all. You'll turn yourself green and be mad at me that you have to go to the hospital for new legs. Capice? Tell me what to do, and I'll do the dye work for you." "That sounds okay," said Ivy.
Fast forward to four hours later. "This is so cool!" said Kirsten. Nellie looked up at Bean. "Miss Bean, since your hands are all green now, do you need to go to the hospital?"
Kirsten took the cloth. "Off I go to the sewing room!"
"Welp, job well done. I guess I'll go back to what I was -- "
"Hold up!"
Bean handed Ivy a shirt. "I was able to make this with the extra dye. I figured you'd appreciate it."
"No way! This is the grooviest! Thank you, Bean!"
... but what was Kirsten going to do with that extra cloth? You'll probably find out in a Bean Stalk update.
