Paris - dinner with a French family

Our last night in Paris, we were invited to dine with Charity's host family in the 16th arrondisement. We brought a bottle of Cotes du Rhone as a gesture of our thankfulness. We had Cucumber Salad, salmon spread on hot bread, Quiche Lorraine, another Salad, a Cheese course and Chocolate Souffle thingys. It was a wonderful finish to a memorable week in Paris.

Paris - Itineraires

This was in my top two restaurant list. The chef trained in Lyon before opening the highly successfull Le Temps Au Temps in Canal St Martin. He just opened this last year in the Latin Quarter and is sure to receive his first michelin star soon. Inventive cuisine with great roots in traditional French cooking.

Arriving in Paris

We got off the Saint Paul Metro in the Marais to see a packed street of bikers, walkers, shoppers and lovers on a gorgeous day in Paris. The outdoor cafes were packed full of fashionable Parisians enjoying a lazy afternoon.

Dinner Party at Tonio's in Nice

Tonio and Sebastian are two friends from Nice. Their father is French and mother is American. But they've lived in Nice for most of their life. They threw a dinner party the night before we left Nice. We got to visit the supermarket on Saturday night, when it's jam-packed.
