"If we ever settle in the same area, I see a kick ass cooking show in our futures."

"That would be freaking killer. I would put some boiled plantain in there for veggies."

"In this picture, it's in a cast iron pan which saves on dishes. If you wanted to, you could make the filling in a pot and dump it in a casserole dish. But a cast iron skiet is basically one of the best pans you can have in your kitchen. I can't recommend them enough."

"I suck at measurements but here's the gist: Either acquire already cooked chicken or brown some chicken in a cast iron pan. Melt like, 6T of butter in the pan and add the chicken, some garlic and onions. Then add 8T of flour and stir around till the flour sucks up all the butter and it gets a little brown. Then add 4 cups of chicken broth at room temp or hot, either one. Stir till it gets thick. Add a few handfuls of frozen veggies and thyme, maybe some parmesan cheese if you're feeling sassy. Then make buttermilk biscuts (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/southern-biscuits-recipe3/index.html) Preheat oven to whatever the biscuit recipe requires, like what, 450? Put the biscuits on top. Don't let them touch, believe it or not. They puff up and if they're touching initially they won't cook through so you'll have raw biscuit dough. Put that bastard on a cookie sheet in case of bubble over and bake till biscuits are done. Remove and let hang out for a few minutes before you nom the shit out of it. It's really fucking good."
