The light color of this sandstone bluff seems to indicate a fresh rock fall. But the rock at the foot of the bluff has been there for many years.
Here is the GPS track of our route. Note the deviation from the dashed line on the southern most part of our track. This departure led to an interesting descent to the river. It would probably be best to stick to the dashed line for an easier descent, although we have not tried it. The hike was about 10.4 miles, according to the GPS track.
