Removing the memory chips from the Tandy Color Computer 3. Use a chip extractor. This tool slips under the pins and a little gentle lever action pops it right out.

When upgrading the memory in the Tandy Color Computer 3, it is necessary to clip a couple of capacitors. Unless you have electronics experience, this procedure is not reversible. But you don't need any experience to cut 'em out!

March 2007. My Tandy Color Computer 3 set up: 512K CoCo 3, 26-3124A MPI, Dual FD-501 Floppy Drives, CCR-83 Cassette Deck, flat screen VGA monitor running off of Roy's RGB-To-VGA converter. Getting sweeter every day!
