Welcome to Captain Cook, Hawaii
Take a little drive (down a very steep road) with me.
Welcome to the Fern House.
Brian and Lola are skimming the pond.
This is our great room.
Our kitchen is huge, and I can't wait to make a Thanksgiving Feast!!!!!!!! Yumm, Yumm.
This is looking at the "Living room" section of the room. Notice the sunny yellow wall.
This is the upper lanai.
This is the panaramic view. Pretty sweet!
This is the second floor bathroom. Did I mention that you have lanai access from every-single-room!!!
My family in the bathroom
Master bedroom. I love the color with the bamboo floors!
The other direction with Strong Man in the back.
Master or Second floor lanai.
Master view. Awesome. This may just be the best lanai because it is at the perfect level for sweet smells. The 7 plumeria trees on the property are about this high. mmmmmm, plumeria.
The third floor bathroom/laundry room. We have all new energy star appliances. Oh, and we are on a water catchment system with a UV filter. I am not really sure what that means, but the water is safe to drink. We also run a graywater system to our bamboo plants.
The view through our room/nursery.
Our room. Sorry for the pile of clothes on the bed, but we were moving in when I took this. I love the color here too.
Lola's room. She LOVES this place! The first night she said she was tired, walked into her room, got into bed and went to sleep! No crying! First time ever! It could be because she has cool glow in the dark stars to look at. Thanks new house... I think you are magic ;)
The view back.
Third floor lanai. Ours is a bit more boring, but I have a clothes line that runs the length of the lanai, and that makes me super happy. Oh, we also have a niffty compost container on the property.
This is the respective view. This is what I wake up to every morning. I guess I should never complain.
This is our new beach. Pebble beach. There are tons of big and tiny black pebbles, thus the name. The snorkeling and diving is unbelievable. We have a kayak, and someone told us that just to the right there is a black sand beach and an old Hawaiian birthing cave that you can either hike or kayak into. Lucky!
