Sign on entering the yard. I'm not sure what being “forklifted” entails, but I'm sure it isn't good!
Being lowered onto blocks
Two Africat power cats with IPS drives where in the yard next to us
View inside the bilge showing the bilge pump with inoperative float switch and the top of the transducer
Underneath Lucky showing the bottom of the transducer
A close up of one of the drives from one of the Africats. You can see the plate that my drive was missing
All this salt came from a leaky exhaust seal. That wasn't why it was pulled. The seals inside the drive need to be replaced.
New transducer, all shiny!
Bilge pump showing the new float switch. These switces don't get waterlogged, which is what happened to mine.
Holes for the underwater lights. We couldn't put them further outboard as stringers, drives and water tanks got in the way. We had to relocate the drive anodes (they're aluminium not zinc) to make room.
Looking underneath Lucky, up at the new hole made to receive the transducer.
What the box looks like from above. It still needs to be finished
This is the piece of the hull they cut out to make a hole for the transducer. Tiara don't mess around. Its an inch thick of solid fiberglass!
Lights installed. The lenses have been taped in preparation for painting
Top of the box finished and painted. You can see the steel ring they glassed into the top of the box to bolt the transducer onto.
The hole finished and ready for the transducer to be put in. As well as the bolt holding from above, the transducer will be glued in using 5200 - a waterproof and very strong marine adhesive.
Lights painted and the drive anodes remounted.
New fender holders
Bilge pump with new float switch in position
New transducer mounted flush with the hull (sorry for the flare)
New gasket on engine room hatch. The large hatch has a new seal as well.
Secondary bilge pump
New house batteries. Deka AGMs
New Master DC Panel with new main breakers and a new breaker for the underwater lights
New pop-up rear cleat, flush.
New rear cleat, popped up.
Back of the new rear cleat, plumbed for drainage.
Tender mounts looking sharp after powder coating.
