At the put-in...I did not bring my good camera and it shows, but at least we have the memories.
collecting cool rocks.
No snake sightings this time. We did find a soccer ball. It seems like every trip we find at least one ball in the river.
Hi Mom!
Vintage....
Paddle hard, Lydia, to miss that rock......
Good job with that S curve, Lydia.
Heron. Argh...my 7D would have gotten a great shot!
Spencer and Luke went to play ultimate frisbee and pick-up soccer game instead of joining us on the river this time.
Lunch break.
See that blue line zigging and zagging. That's the Etowah. We put in at East Cherokee and take out about a 30 min paddle past 575 on the map. About 13 river miles.
Vintage Mom and Dad.
These little arms of Lydia's paddled all day. Six hour trip.
Break time! Jumping from the tree stand. Thanks, Chuck and friends.
AAAAANND, the camera battery died just before they jumped. Really annoying. Anyhow after many jumps, we paddled on to end a great holiday.
