hello who turn off the sun ? Eva was very quiet for a few days, but she was in a good mood although she had fever and tonsillitis.

The last evening before we leave the Ham Radio messe in Friedrichshafen we use to have a common dinner. This year Limus, Rasmus, Eva (SM7XGS) and Anita to the left and Lotta (SM7YNQ) my self (SM7WDL) and Janne (SM7DEW) on the other side of the table. Freedy (SM7WDG) behind the camera. Everyone is waiting for the food.

After we had past the border to Austria we come to a step hill where Freddys RV start boiling. We stop at this place, and I look up and read Matrei. Long time ago I was in Matrei on vacation for skiing…, funny
Here Freddy is running to front to see what was wrong. The fan had stopped working. The toolbox, Fredddy-the-fixer and a half hour and we was off again.
Next stop was in Italy, a nice little camping. Food time and a nights sleep will do well for us all.

Gulasch soup and what we found in the pentry was good. Freddy had his second portion of soup and Lotta relaxed.
Eva and I ate bacon & eggs fried potatos and onion. We also tested the soup :-)
Puha ! Now it's time for bed !

The next day we took off for Croatia and found a nice camping in Umag. The dinner that evening was Pizza for all :-)

The camping Park Umags pool area was nice to cool off in. It was hot like …. daytime. This is the kids’ pool.

Every evening we tried to talk to our Ham friends in Sweden via the shortwave radio around 21.00-23.00, and after that US coming in. I talked to Ewe (SM7BHM) a few times; he had a very strong signal down to Croatia. The frequency was around 14.325.
Ice Cream and a portable DVD gave the parents some rest.....
Konzum in Croatia was our food shop. Konsum/Solidar is the former name in Sweden as well, but now days it's called Coop Forum. We felt like home :-)
Fried sausage Spegetti and food program on TV, can it bee better :-) Still in Umag. But the next day we left for the island KRK.

We order fish for all of us. Good choise.

It's late in the evening and the next day Freddy, Lotta and the kids have to turn the steering wheel heading north. They visit Postonja cave in Slovenia on the way home.
Eva and I stayed one day more and in the morning we climbed the hill next to the camping.

That was the place we ate last evening.
Then we ate lunch before we took off for the city KRK to find any new front tires to our RV. The Peugeot seller in KRK will fix new tires for us in a few days.

Eva phone home
We took off to Glavotok and stayed there to wait for our tires to come from Rijeka. We arrived in the afternoon and a few hours later I got a call on my cellphone to turn on the VHF radio.
It was Ewe (SM7BHM) and Carina on the other end, coming from Sweden to the islands of Croatia for vacation.
The first evening we went to the local resturant and had a nice meal of fish.
And watched TV, I think it was World cup football at the time.

The morning after that some of us was very tired :-)
Time for the morning toilet..... (around 12.00)
Then we went to Ewe and Carina to pic them up for a swim in the nice blue clear water. A nice day at the beach.
Time for food again.

Before we went to bed Ewe did some QSO from the island of KRK.

I had a cool beer before bed.....
Next morning we got the phone call from KRK that our tires had arrived. Ewe and Carina left for the island Vir, but we drove to the town KRK to get the new tires.

One left and then we also is leaving for Vir.
We drive the coast way down to Zadar via Senj and then turn of to Vir. No highways!
Now we are close, all the time we had connection with Ewe via local VHF repeaters. It worked well.

On Vir we arrived late afternoon. We bought food and something good to drink to the dinner. Even this time the fish was the number one. We make it simple, wrapped it in and put it on the grill
Ewe was grillmaster and Carina help him. Do you see the boat? It's an Elan! I know Elan and connect it to Ingmar Stenmark. They were good for downhill skiing? Or was it Ingmar who was very good....
Soon the fish on the table.

Vir island here we are and also come back
After a good dinner we tried our luck to make some QSO to Sweden and other countries.
Next morning the butter-knife no 2 pass on to the trashcan. Now we have NO butter-knifes left. Don’t buy IKEA butter knifes.
After the breakfast we took off north via the highway but after an hour or so we decided to turn off and drive to Senj along the coast.
This is just outside Senj. Here we stayed a couple of hours, burning skin and bath/snorkel was on the menu.

After a half hours drive north we found this camping. Our RVs, Ewes to the left of ours. Our look likes a Dinky Toys :-(

This is my mixed beef/pigshop plate. No fish for me this time.
But Eva chose fish. Last evening we saw the owner of the restaurant setting the net about 50 meter out in the sea. So Eva ate a real locale and fresh fish.

Eva had a Whiskey and Tea after the dinner outside Håkanssons RV.
Ewe and I had vodka and orange, "Screwdriver" I think, Carina had coffee and liqueur.

:-( this was what we woke up to see in the morning. Carina knocked on our door and told us to wake up and come out fast! You must take in your canvas before something happens to yours, she said. They had 3 big holes in the side of their RV, their canvas was on the other side of the RV. It's not so easy to fix it without any ladder. We were lucky, I had a roll of silvertape "real" and the holes were fixed.

Här var vi i Tyskland och stannat på en rastplats för att det skulle bli fritt från köer på motorvägen. Har precis länat en fin camping där vi övenatta men tyvärr inga bilder därifrån.
