elephant painting at chitwan. one of our friends there was teaching this elephant
more unassisted elephant painting. the paintings are going to be auctioned off with the profits going to help these and other elephants
this is my (ali's) favorite elephant pic. the baby. her name is sundra. we have a video (coming soon) of stephen feeding her.
sundra and her mommy. dad was named romeo.
baby sundra
somewhere in this photo there is an elephant. see if you can spot him.
elephants on their way to get a bath
loch ness monster? haha an elephant trunk during bath time
the baby putting dirt all over herself just after her bath. typical kid :)
we have video of this as well.
"excuse me miss, wild boar" (ask ali for the story)
hard to see but its a tiger footprint.
we saw the tiger! we saw the tiger!
more tiger prints in the tire tracks. fresh! we stalked him for about 30 minutes. less than 5% of jungle visitors see a tiger
long tailed monkey in tree
really good tiger paw print found right behind our lodge!
we could hear the monkeys warning the deer so we knew he was close by. plus, there were the fresh tracks
and here he is!
there are 3 males in the chitwan jungle and this is the oldest and largest male. everyone in the jungle is afraid of him, including the other tigers, so he will live a long life. hopefully
stephen calls this the money shot. he was about 15 feet away from us when this was taken.
here he comes...
he crossed the road right in front of us! we have video of this as well. we were like movie stars back at camp since we got to see him.
one-horned black rhino. we actually saw quite a few of these
three of the elephants on our safari taking a break for a drink. the large one in the middle with the tusks is the only male at chitwan.
