Mt. Shasta - Green Butte Ridge -> Sargents Ridge
Amy dragged me up to Mt. Shasta for the weekend. We camped on Green Butte Ridge, and from there had two summit teams. John, Matt and I continued on Green Butte to Sargents Ridge, where we ended up dead-ending after some tough route-finding just before Thumb Rock. Mike, Amy, and Eduard ascended Avalanche Gulch and got to Red Banks. We both headed down at that point, given uncertainty in the weather. Indeed when we departed base camp shorly after, a heavy snow storm settled in, and we were glad to be off the upper mountain. A great trip!
