Wanagnui Computer Clubhouse Grand Launch 16 July 2010
Today was special because we celebrated having a Computer Clubhouse established in Wanganui. We can be very proud to have this fabulous ICT resource for Wanganui’s youth. I am sure we have got it because we have shown we are a strong community who nurtures its assets and knows how to make the most of collaboration. The WDC is a worthy champion to make it happen for us. Our stars are Heather Cox, WDC Youth Services Coordinator and CCH Project Manager, and Marcina Kenworthy the CCH Coordinator. They have done all the hard yards. Deputy Mayor, Dot McKinnon has been behind us all the way, and Cr. Danny Jonas is Chair of the governance steering group. It was wonderful to have such a great turnout of our supporters, plus video messages from Hons. Steven Joyce and Tariana Turia, and Gail Breslow, Director, Computer Clubhouse Network, Boston USA. We can look forward to lots of benefits for all from this treasure on the digital highway.
