John Barb visit Justin in Japan 2003 Trip
John & Barb travel to Japan in July 2003 to see John's son, Justin, graduate from his Kendo Class & Waseda University in Tokyo. Host parents, Shinobu & Michiyo Serisawa, took us in the Mtns to Nikko & Edo Village, and enjoy a Hotel with Hot volcanic steam baths, and river tour with lake Nikko, then took us to temples & Edo Village, the "oldest Fuedal Town in Japan. Then, Justin. our tour guide, took us on a trip to Western Japan, to Hiroshima and Miyajama's, famous, huge Red Gate, across the bay, from Hiroshima, then, on Shinkonsun bullet trian, headed East again, and toured temples and sights as, Hemeji's White Castle, built in 1333, and Kyoto's city, Temples & plays, and then back to Fuchu City in suburb of Tokyo, nightlife, dinners, hardrock's & "New City". On the last evening the host parents, Sinobu & Michiyo, gave us quite a Dinner party with their extented families, & parents, and gave us gifts, Brbara got one of Michiyo's original Kumono's. Gifts we still hold dearly. Michiyo
