On Thursday morning we went to the Zoo!
Adorable!
This globe turns on water...a favorite of the kids.
Kendra's cutie pie, Eleanor.
The water is the draw here for kids.
A learning opportunity from ages 1 to 90+
Christie was there with her two, Ami and Novi.
Novi rides the pot belly pig.
Here's lookin' back at you kid...
Outings are a sharing/solution session: hair, kids, restaurants, products and so on...
Peacock (sign "bird") under a flowering dogwood.
The rockhopper penguin exhibit is a favorite.
Rowan and Sarah, his mommy.
Riding in style while Anita pushes the stroller, just in case...
Sign "Nap time"....?
It's nap time for Ami.
Older kids see Kim's red wagon as more their style...
5 momies and 6 kids went to the zoo, where they all have memberships: Anita (Poppy), Kendra (Eleanor), Christie (Ami & Novi), Sarah (Rowan) and Kim (Henson).
They stay till the kids get tired...they'll be back again soon.
On Zoo night, we went to the Hot Air Balloon Glow/Glimmer
On the riverfront it was quite spectacular.
Lots of promotion for Derby day.
Magic at night.
On Saturday, the Marathon: here 2 grand kids help Grandad near the finish line = Priceless.
Alan brought water to his friends at the 18 mile mark & was ready at the finish line with a long distance lens.
While I watched Poppy in the shade...(86 degrees!) surrounded by cis-boom-ba!
Christie and Kendra completed the 26 mile marathon run in style!
3 hours, 59 min., 29 sec.; crowds were awesome; finishers got medals.
They began practicing in January; still holding hands over the finish line..
Medaled Mommies
Friends!
Christie's proud husband, Carlos, with Amie.
Novi says, "Good job mom...what's that you're drinking?"
I could run fast...in Dada's hat.
What's not to love?
On the day of the Balloon Race.....
Lots of activity at the Fairgrounds.
7 AM liftoff--by 7:30 they were ALL aloft.
To win, they drop a bag of grass seed closest to an “X” on the ground.
Home schooling began for Poppy the day they brought her home!
Wind is definitely a directional factor.
Crews were 1-4 folks in a basket.
ROYGBIV....
Sponsorship is a good thing.
I would like to help sponsor this young lady. Luv, Grannie C
In Poppy's playroom...books, puzzles, steam roller, kitchen unit, and blocks to knock down.
Sans diapers helps avoid diaper rash. Cherubs often go without them.
After a “spin” in her spinning chair...."More Dada".
Pretty steady on her feet, even multitasking.
The neighborhood park is a stonesthrow away; Poppy is a regular.
On a hill of purple phlox---ooooh beautiful!
In front of her (yellow) home--Sad? Maybe she wants to come visit Grannie C and GPS in Rosenberg!
