The first trail Gabe picked for us started at 5000 feet of elevation. Snow level ~4000 feet. The truck couldn't make it to the trailhead, so we got on our bikes and started pedaling through the snowy forest. Elk hunters watched us pass, pitying us for our idiocy and hating our non-meat gathering use of the forest.
Let's ride. Yes, Aaron is wearing shorts.
Gabe is also wearing shorts. It's about 30 degrees.
After riding up the mountain for a ways, climbing over downed timber, and walking through 5 inches of fresh pow, we arrived at the end of the road. No trailhead in sight. Gabe informs us that the map was left in the truck. We decide to ride back to the truck.
Bryan and Mike.
Bryan, his bangs and Dave.
Mike, Bryan, Gabe, Dave and Aaron. After the portrait we started the ride down the snow covered road back to the truck.

Bikes back in the truck, push the truck out of the snow.

Half way through the Larison Rock trail. Aaron surveys the foliage.
There a trail under that tree.
Bryan is number 1.
My chain is broked. Aaron tried to fix it but I wasn't able to find part of it, so I had a stimulating hike/coast out of the trail.
This is a bike chain. It should be 6 inches longer than this.
Bryan and his mad single track skills.
Yeah, this is how we roll in Belgium.
Bryan self portrait. He has never met a camera he didn't mug for.
Aubrey Mt. Trail. Very steep side slope riding. I clenched up quite a bit...working on focusing on the 12 inches wide trail and not the precipitous drop off.
End of the day riding...wet, muddy, injury free.
