Chico Air Fest 2008
I took Aiden and his friends, Isiah & Phoenix, to the Chico Airfest. This event featured the Snowbirds, from Canada...9 planes in formation...very impressive...much better than the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds!

Canine Carnival
The Butte Humane Society in conjunction with the Butte County Kennel Club and ISCCD presented the 1st Annual Chico Canine Carnival. This day-long event featured festive competition and canine activities. All profits went directly to the Butte Humane Society! Aiden actually did some tricks too.

Chico Downtown Criterium
The Criterium was a road race circling the streets of downtown Chico. The racing was fast and furious and Aiden and Finn really enjoyed banging their cowbells!

Afterbay Fun
Andy, Heather, Aiden, and I (and Lucy) take in the Afterbay in Oroville after realizing that Lake Oroville is way too low to even launch into w/o 4WD. Fun and cold water were in plentiful supply.

Aiden's 1st Cal Fire Field Trip
Aiden and I took a late afternoon trip up to Grayson's fire station in Butte Meadows. How many four year old's get a personal tour of a fire station AND and real ride-a-long in a state of the art rig? To be honest he was more into the horeshoe pits...but thanks Gray...I had fun!

Desolation Wilderness Trip
Chris, Dean, and myself subjected ourselves to a beautiful area outside of South Lake Tahoe...with nothing but what we could carry on our backs. My first "real" backpacking trip...I'm hooked!

Aiden's Orange Tree
Andy & Heather bought Aiden an orange tree for his birthday and we got together to plant it in the backyard. Aiden likes to go and measure it every other week and see how its growing! he also likes oranges more than apples now! :P

Duck Feeding & Outdoor Planetarium
We had some stale bread...what better way to dispose of it then w/some hungry ducks? We also discovered the new Shoemaker Outdoor Planetarium up in Upper Park...very nice and right next to the Bidwell Observatory. We're looking forward to some clear warm nights this summer to come back!
