ok, I know no one wants to see my pets, but this is obligatory.
ok, this one is a little more wild and a little less domesticated
and this is a little bit of a cheat, since the picture was actually not taken at the stump farm...
Big ass Barred Owl that nests out back
I dont know if I get to count this as a critter or not. It's an Ex-critter. Big ass tortoise.
Baby squirrel that fell out of a tree and we rescued. (Note to Lew: not big enough to eat.)
Very cold bluebird. There are tons of these.
Doe and fawn that visited last spring. We regularly get visits of as many as 6 or more deer at a time.
A fox that used to visit every day... until Ellie Mae hit him with a rock.
Goldfinches that flock to the feeder every day like sharks. If you want to get an idea of what this looks like, check out this time lapse movie (not dial up friendly).
We have a lot of really big, cool birds like this hawk. The problem is that they are incredibly hard to get good photos of. Here is one of the hawk in flight.
... and here he is perched in a tree. He is so backlit that it is hard to make him out.
And here is a pilleated woodpecker (aka, woody woodpecker) in flight. We have a pair of them nesting in the back. They are really hard to photograph.
Not all of the birds are big-uns. Here is a female hummingbird that Ellie Mae captured on camera.
