The Baha'i Lotus Temple in Delhi. This is where I fled to on my first day in India. I just had to get away from the busy, noisy, smelly streets of Delhi so my instinct told me to come here and it was perfect.
A shame that there wasn't a perfect blue sky but... I definitely came in the wrong season for that.
My first dosa, a really tasty dish... Mmmm, yummie!! I already met Tutti the Brazilian girl. That's why there are two.
The entrance of the Delhi Red Fort. A must to see when there...
Here we started our trip across the golden triangle. First stop was a little town called Orcha. Just liked this picture.
In Orcha there were lots of abandoned temples were natures took over.
This was the view we had from out our window, you can see... Swimming pool included. We were travelling big in these days. We were already in Khajuraho then.
A close up from some of the carvings... Lots of kamasutra ones too but you'll have too look for a pose in the next pictures. Hi hi hi
There were lots of temples there... Very peaceful, very beautiful, very quiet place as well. Especially because it was raining then so... We had the place to ourselfs.
Some more details...
This is the moment were I had shivers down my spine... It was magical. We could see the Taj in the back... Wow! Really worth seeing.
Now you can actually see how big the thing is... It is MASIF!
And this picture I just liked...
After Agra we drove to Fatehpur Sikri, an other suprise... I really didn't expect to see all these beautiful things.
I'm back... Inside the Fatehpur Sikri city there were some amazing buildings, one of them is this mosque.
The worlds biggest sundial in Jaipur. Jantar Mantar it's called. Built by Maharaja - meaning King - Jai Singh II at his then new capital of Jaipur between 1727 and 1733. Pretty amazing.
A close up of one of the four doors in the Jaipur city palace.
The view on a square in the Paharganj area in Delhi. Taken from the roof top restaurant of the RAK hotel I was staying at. Too bad that all the cows decided to be somewhere else that evening...
This is the view I currently have from out of my room. The contrast is pretty big!! And yes, a shame that the pillar is there! It's not the most amazing shot but I wanted to share this vista with you. I'm sure you can imagine I'm feeling great here...
I had to put this one in because it's so funny that random people just want to take picture with me. He even asked if I could put on the sunglasses. HA HA HA
This was our driver on the first two days of the little trip. He showed us some beautiful places and took us to nice small local restaurants. Sweet, genuine person.
This is one of the places he took us to eat lunch. Simple, tasty Indian food.
At Fatehpur Sikri again. Me with the hat on to enter a part of the mosque.
Our room in Jaipur. We were staying in a small maharadja palace that was now transformed into a hotel.
Me staring at a sculpture instide one of the Khajuraho temples.
