This is the yoga center. You can see it's totally one with nature. Just a wonderful place. Absolutely great...
At the end of this road is the gate to the house I was living in.
This was a little square on the way to the yoga center. 200 meters further on this road was...
The house were Tutti was staying.
A chai, unmissable when in India! It's really tasty... But really sweet too. The Indians put about 5 coffee spoons of sugar in one glass.
Me on a small hike to the waterfalls with the girls... You can see the cloud is threatening dark, and it started poring down about 5 minutes after I took this picture...
After returning from the little hike, the rain stopped. And Megean and me stayed at a little Chai place up the hill . We had great fun up there. You can see the boys were having a great time too. They absolutely loved us, were giving email addressed and phone numbers. One was begging Megean to give him a call. It cracked us up massively.
Some funny goats up the hike to Mussoorie. That's actually the only time that I took out my camera on that hike...
A view shot on the way to Rishikesh... This city attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists each year.
You can see these writings everywhere in Rishikesh. I think it's hilarious. They definitely try to advertise a virtuous life down here...
The view on Ram Jhula from Omkamananda Ghat. This bridge together with the Lakshman Jhula are the two famous pedestrian bridges of Rishikesh.
Ram Jhula Bridge, only for pedestrians but... You can find anything on there but cars. Monkeys, motorcycles, bikes and...
Cows... Of course... They are absolutely everywhere.
A view on Lakshman Jhula on the way...
I just liked this one...
Me having my first Ginger Lemon Honey tea. Mmmmm....
And here it is... Lakshman Jhula, the one and only. But you can see this bridge is smaller and less busy...
An other picture I like...
And this one too. I just love all these colors. This I will massively miss when back in Belgium.
The Ganga Arati performed at dusk at the Triveni Ghat...
And everybody was chanting...
Again, how nice... Such beautiful color schemes...
I visited Neelakanta Maha Deva Temple on my second day in Rishikesh. I really wanted to see it, was very lucky that I managed to convince Greg to join me on this hike. It's one of the extremely holly places, a must for thousands of pilgrims every year. It's About 9 km from Rishi center. A very beautiful walk. And we were pretty much the only western people there.
Some type of food we were given by the locals. This together with some offerings... The locals seem to appreciate us being there since we didn't have to pay for a thing... They were just spoiling us massively! We got food, smiles, helping hands on the tougher parts of the road... One major set back. None of them spoke proper English so we didn't manage to find the famous cave that's situated close to the temple. Guess I just have to get back one day...
This is India too... Garbage everywhere!!! They really need to start working around this problem. It's bad... They trow everything on the ground.
One of the stunning hike views...
And a piece of the path...
This is a picture inside the Buddhist Temple in Clement Town. A large Tibetan settlement south of Dehra Dun.
A nice picture with the Indian favorite sweets on the bottom right. I tried it and it's absolutely disgusting... Just like all the Indian sweets. They're just too sweet for my taste pallet.
