A picture inside the yoga hall
The last day of my Rajpur episode we had great weather so I managed to take some more pictures
The people that were still there (all staying for the next course): Bruna, me, Antonella, Carl and Genevieve... We had such a great time together!!
The group of people that went up to Leh: Rose-Marie, Julie, James, Lucy and Kevin
The guest houseI stayed at in Manali (before and after Leh)
They had a lovely little restaurant with great food... had the most amazing banana porridge as breakfast in the morning, I'm addicted now... But at least it's a healthy addiction.
The drive up to Leh...
Sarchu, were we slept on the way up...
Tanglang la pass...
Cool bikers...
The drive up to Leh... with crazy colors and rock formations...
The view out of my room at Lotus' house (the home stay)...
My hike... again, crazy colors and rock formations...
The first camp we stayed up...
More crazy colors and rock formations...Great views!
The view we had from the camp on the 3rd day...
This is shot at one of the passes... This was definitely the hardest day.
The view we had from the camp on the 4th day...
Some sheep saying hello...
James and Lucy...
One of the many stupa's on the way...
The occupation in the afternoon... reading my book (Salmon Rushdi's - Midnights Children) It's great literature, something I'm missing now (because I'm too busy ether traveling or exploring McLeod) but I guess the book isn't going anywhere.
The morning view on day 7 - it was so nice being woken up by sunlight hitting the tent, gently pushing away the cold of the night.
The Hemis Gompa...
Monk praying in the prayer hall... With westerner taking picture... Could he go any closer?
Every monastery has a big Buddha...
Long distance picture of the city palace of Leh...
The city view on top of the palace...
More of the same...
On the 1st of September there was a procession but I didn't take a lot of pictures because... I was absolutely guttered by the behavior of westerners. They just have no scruples when it comes to 'taking their amazing shot'. Don't like it... Definitely confronting for me!
Just because...
Again, my view at my room.
The last night in Leh I went to this Stupa to watch the sunset (see blog)
Beautiful...
