DIGITAL PHOTO Seattle Post-Intelligencer Photo by Mike UrbanWoodland Park Zoo Turns 100 - Kelang, a female Malayan Tapir, snaps up a test birthday cake, of sorts, made from watermelon and carrots. The "cake" treat was the idea of zoo keeper Heidi Frohring who was testing the floatability of the centenary celebration creations in the tapir's wading pool. The "cakes" did not float well but were enjoyed none the less by the tapirs."I think I'll improve the design, test some models in the bathtub at home tonight," said Frohring. Other zoo animals will recieve their celebratory treats tomorrow during a zoo birthday party marking the zoo's 100th year.
