Chichester Scows
Introduction to the Chichester Scow
The class was introduced in the year 2000 and has developed rapidly from four hulls to over thirty as the only class for one-design racing at Bosham Sailing Club. While the design is that of a traditional scow and can be seen as just one of many slightly different and popular scow designs around the whole Solent, it is inexpensive and has been kept simple by the Class Association Rules for its design. The Association looks after the Class as a whole, not just the Bosham Sailing Club fleet, and inter alia, seeks to maintain a firm grip on costly developments to keep the price of this design down.
