JK Dual Battery Setup

Using the Dual Battery Tray by Benchmark I added a second battery to the JK. These are just the preliminary pictures as I am not finished with the project yet. I will be adding another fuse box under the dash next to the heater blower that will feed from the second battery. I'll get all the wiring looking "pretty" during that installation.

5-Mile Pass Area

A casual trip out to the 5-Mile Pass area south of Toole, Ut to roast some hotdogs and marshmallows over the fire. Of course I had to play the "get a torch, walk through the cave" routine to amuse the kids a bit. Location of campfire is: (NAD83) Lat: 40.27589 Lon: 112.18747

Mark's (Warspyder) trailer build - Quick and neat.

Take existing small trailer and disassemble it. Then simply wrap the existing light frame with 2" x 3" 3/16" box tubing. Then reinstall axle. It turned out pretty dang good.

Spring Perch & Coil Spacer Swap

Because of "bowing" rear coil springs that resulted from installing a CV driveshaft, I cut off the stock spring perches and installed JKO's adjustable ones. Now the bump stops on the Acos Pro coil spacers are positioned directly in the center of the coil springs.

Providence Canyon

A day trip up Providence Canyon (outside of Logan, Utah) during a storm. The trail was pretty hairy in a couple of places but all in all not bad. At one point we came upon this guy in a Toyota Tundra (with street tires) who was stuck sideways on the trail. We hooked up the winch and I pulled/rotated him back onto the trail. Then just a little ways further down the trail, he slide almost completely off so I rescued him again; I dare say that this day was his lucky day.

Lolo Motorway Multi-Day Trip - Aug. 14th - Aug. 23rd, 2009 ... Part 1

A big adventure covering Western Montana and North, Central Idaho. Highlights include Lolo Motorway, Giant Western Red Cedar (largest tree in Idaho), Morris Creek Old Growth Cedar Grove (80 acre stand), Spiral Highway (North of Lewiston), Elk City Wagon Trail, Magruder Corridor, Big Hole National Battlefield, and a few ghost towns thrown in for good measure. We'll also traverse Lolo Pass, Lemhi Pass, and possibly Bannock Pass. Because of a personal family issue that arose, we actually headed south from Lewiston down 95 into Nampa, Id. to visit my brother. We are planning to drive back up to Lewiston and finish this trip next year.
