Annual Yard Sale

It appears that Squaw Butte moved to Seattle this weekend if you look at the weather. Our annual yard sale fund raiser was visited by almost constant rain for much of the day. It got members and item for sale damp but we still had a good turnout of people willing to buy and support the chapter.

Back Country Skills Clinic

The Circle G River Ranch provided the facilities for our 8th clinic. We were treated to two nice spring days, although Saturday had a chill in the air. We had good partisipation from BCHI members and the public and great speakers. On Sunday, all four clinics were full and everyone had a great time. Little Butte Ride & BBQ

Ellen & Charles hosted their annual spring ride and BBQ at their home north of Emmett. Their back gate opens on to BLM land and access to Little Butte. Members formed two riding groups and picked different roots. All had a great time.

Jump Creek

Jump Creek is a number of rocky canyons on the Idaho/Oregon border on land managed by the BLM. There is a hiking trail from the parking lot to a waterfall. Horses can use a number of 4-wheel drive roads. The riding is a lot of up and down and when wet could be slippery. The trailer parking can handle 10 or so trailers.

Members of Squaw Butte that have accepted elected or volunteer leadership positions. Members of this group put in long hours to make sure that our chapter runs in an effective manner, that our events are safe and interesting.
