Doo Dah 2010

34th Occasional Doo Dah Parade done for the first time in East Pasaadena. As usual, the Pasadena Lions Club and Leo Clubs participated by operating tables where T-shirts and official parade programs were on sale. Other items available were hot dogs, donuts, water, and soft drinks. The proceeds help offset Club expenses. Pasadena Lions are strong supporters of the Light Bringer Project, a non-profit arts organization which produces the parade.

City of Hope Orange Tree Feb 3 2010

Pasadena Lions planting an orange tree at City of Hope. This is an ancient tradition that we started about 5-6 years ago. We expect that within a hundred years or so that City of Hope will be able to harvest oranges for profit from the orange grove we planted for them. Lions New Years Eve Breakfast 12 31 09

This breakfast was held on New Year's Eve morning as a fund raiser for the Lions Clubs International Float which will be near the front of the Rose Parade the next day, January 1, 2010. We were honored to have Lions International President Eberhard Wirfs and his wife in attendance.

City of Hope Tree Planting 01 25 09

One of our new traditions is to award the International President an orange tree during the Rose Parade Float Breakfast. The tree is then donated to the City of Hope, to add to the forest of trees donated to them over the years.

Lions Meeting 08 20 08 Happy Hats

Hats provided by Happy Hats for Kids, a Torrance organization that helps bring some happiness to young children who are in the hospital with cancer. The kids are given "hero hats", and books to help reduce the fear and depression the children experience facing the unknown challenges of cancer.
