"Lisa Apa,
It didn't, surprisingly. It came up with a bunch of stuff but I couldn't
figure out the name in the 30 seconds I tried to navigate before giving up.
But it was fun to try. I'm sure it will work great with other flowers and
other objects.

The flower turned out to be foxglove. I think I found it with some clever
google-image-searching of "droopy purple flower" or something. I also
learned why we hadn't seen it last year even though it must have been from
the seed mix we spread around last year. It's apparently a biennial where
the first year it grows very low to the ground and the 2nd year it sends up
the flower stalk. Also, this from wikipedia:

Due to the presence of the cardiac
glycoside<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiac_glycoside>
digitoxin <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digitoxin>, the leaves, flowers and
seeds of this plant are all poisonous
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poison>to humans and some animals and
can be fatal if eaten. Extracted from the
leaves, this same compound, whose clinical use was pioneered as
digitalis<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digitalis>by William
Withering <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Withering>, is used as a
medication for heart failure <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_failure>."

"speaking of which, did Goggles ever work out in identifying that flower?"

"Thanks! They are pretty amszing creatures, and I was lucky to get these shots after waiting patiently for over an hour."

"That's really neat. Great photography, too."
