The Regional Park in front of Casa De Las Campanas
Driving down West Bernardo towards Westwood..this is accross the street from the park, that is the Freeway
Just beyond the park driving South on West Bernardo right before Westwood
Looking at the hillside driving down West Bernardo, the street above has multiple homes destroyed
Same hillside zoomed in
Right hand side of the West Bernardo road, we are about to turn in on Duenda.
The house on the corner of Duenda and West Bernardo on the right side.
Duenda and Cabela, the house on the corner is standing, it was a members house, but the house just beyond it is gone.
From my house looking out at La Terraza Apt Complex, the roofs are burned.
These are the two homes closest to mine to burn on Luz Rd. The house just up the hill behind them burned on Cabela Pl.
You can see my shirt in the frame, I felt bad taking pics, so I snuck the camera out of my pocket and took the pic
One more pic on Luz Rd.
This the house on Cabela Place, just up the hill from the last two homes
Another shot of the same home on Cabela Pl
One last view of the home less than .2 miles from my house on Cabela Place
Looking down Luz Dr. towards Duenda.
A home in front of the Fisher's Home on Luz Place destroyed
Looking from Luz Pl. north to Duenda, so many homes lost Oct 07
The Fisher's home still intact, an LDS volunteer clearing debris
Bro. Fisher on the right, Bro Chidister on the left and a volunteer in the middle, cutting what was Bro. Fisher's Tree, that burned
Another home on Luz Pl in front of the Fishers gone, here they are searching still for the man's wedding ring. 2 Homes burned in front of the Fishers
A closer view of the house on Luz Pl, notice the melted blinds and broken windows in the house behind
A side view of the Fishers home, the house on the left is gone, and the hoop melted.
Here you can see how close the fire came to the Fisher's, the trees were a buffer that saved the home, the roof started on fire, but the trees gave enough time for the firefighters to get there and put water on the roof.
This is the view straight on of the home on Luz Pl next to the Fisher's, you can see in the back yard volunteers cutting trees down damaged by the fires.
Another look towards Duenda from Luz Place (from the FIsher's house)
These signs were posted on or near all of the homes destroyed
This is the home on Cabela Place again looking from Cabela Drive
I turned around from the corner of Cabela Place and Cabela Drive and took this picture of my house.
A better view of the homes at La Terraza Apt Complex destroyed from my house
This is from the corner of Matinal Drive and Cabela Drive, at the stop sign you can see all of the trees burned behind the car.
A closer view of the palms by the stop sign in front of La Terraza
More palms by La Terraza
Kyle's Old house the hillside above his home burned.
It's hard to see, but it is blackend, the mansion on the left had some landscape burned.
Looking down Libertad (Kyle's old street) you wouldn't really know what devastation occured 4 days earlier, you can vaguely see a haze of smoke
A little further down Libertad, still just barely a haze
This is the side of the road on Poblado about 1/4 a mile from Kyle's house behind La Terraza
This is directly accross the street from the last picture off of Poblado
This house was recently remodeled on Chieftan, just down the street from the Behling's.
News crews still everywhere, this one was right in front of a house that had burned
The corner of Azucar, and Creciente, you can see two homes gone
This is a home on Aguamiel.
The cyprus trees were no barrier for this home on Aguamiel.
Another home on Aguamiel.
A little closer look, you can still see some flowers survived.
Farmers Inusrance had their signs on every home they insured in the community, even the ones not damaged in the fires.
Another home I don't remember the street
This is Aguamiel, this was a street devastated over 21 homes lost, and you can see tons of cars came to take a look
This family was on the Today Show with Matt Lauer, they didn't have insurance, but they do have a great attitude.
This car had so many broadcasts on the National news done in the days right after the fire I thought I'd take a picture, on the right people are sifting through the ashes
A live CNN broadcast was going on as we passed.
This is from the northern most part of my street on the corner of Aguamiel and Cabela Drive. The woman on the right is wearing a shirt that is black and says Firestorm 2007, at first we were offended they were hocking T-Shirts, but then we found out a family that had no insurance was selling them to raise money, and so we bought a few to help.
Looking down one of the circles off of Cabela Drive
The corner of Cabela and Palito
This is looking east while driving towards the intersection of Cabela Drive and Duenda Rd., the fences on both sides of the road were gone. Notice the swing set that still stand in the yard.
Duenda and West Bernardo,
This is the house on the corner of Aguamiel and West Bernardo Drive.
This is driving into the Drake's tract on Andanza. The house is fine but the van and landscaping are not, but yet again another yellow shirt clad person helping on the right.
This house looked fine but the car wasn't on Valladares Drive
I'm on Alveo way looking West about to turn left on West Bernardo, all of the fences on West Bernardo burned, many peoples yards did too, but the homes for the most part were saved.
A closer view to see the fences
