the bottom flange that has 4 holes to fasten the tank down with. I added a SS band at the very top of the tank since the existing bracket aligned perfectly
the space on the top of the tank is a handy place to set things when working on that side of the engine
Below counter retaining nut. Plumbers have a special tool that is used in similiar applications to remove faucet connections. Vise grips can be used to hold the nut while rotating the pump's body.
Removing this nut allows access to the pump's piston.
Remove the upper nut to reveal the piston rod's packing.
This packing keeps water from leaking along piston as it goes up and down.
