FIDA Uganda participates in Civil Society's first Black Monday protest against corruption

Photos from a protest in Uganda, known as "Black Monday". The protest was organized by civil society organizations in Uganda, in response to corruption in the country. Protestors wore black to mourn Ugandans who have lost their lives due to corruption. The protest was held at a time when corruption scandals had become too many for most people to keep track, and the impunity of the corrupt had taken on a life of its own.

Community Dialogues in Amuru, Gulu, Kitgum & Pader Districts (June 2012)

In June 2012, FIDA Uganda held community dialogues in the districts of Amuru, Gulu, Kitgum and Pader. During the community dialogues, drama was used to deliver educational messages on the women's rights and to provoke discussion on sensitive issues.
