Before heading out on our camping trip, we showed Cheryl and Karen some of the sights around Vancouver. This is the crowds of people at the Richmond Night Market.
Also at the night market...
My great sis Cheryl and I, in front of our friends' Rav 4 that we borrowed for the trip. There's no way we could have fit all our stuff in our Civic hatchback!
This is at beautiful Bridal Veil Falls, around Hope.
And this is beautiful Shannon at the falls...
Cheryl and Karen were pretty crammed in the back! The box would slide over every time we went around a corner...
Cheryl decided to take pictures out the sunroof
What a fun crew to hang with!
We got pretty tired driving, so we had Karen take over for a while.
More great mountains - we couldn't stop taking pictures of them!
We saw this bear posing at the side of the road. He just wandered by eating the dandelions
Our campsite in Lake Louise.
Karen chilling out at the Lake after we hiked up there from our campsite.
Cheryl's coolness is clearly evident...
And... Mel and Chad arrive!
Shannon... hugging a hanging plant?!?
I thought this mountain range looked so cool! It looked like someone pulled up a piece of the ground. The one side of the mountain range (the close side) was basically flat up to the edge, and you could see angled lines of rock down the far side.
Touring Banff.
I guess the deer were touring too.
After leaving Cheryl and Karen with Chad and Mel, Shannon and I drove up to Rocky Mountain House to visit Jake and Andrea, friends of ours that used to go to Home Church. They just had a brand new baby!
Jake and Andrea with baby Zach.
Camping at Moyie Lake, near Cranbrook.
Shannon's gotta have her camp coffee!
The scenery changed so many times on this drive. It was fascinating.
Pearrygin Lake, where we camped in Northern Washington.
Winthrop is a neat Western town we stumbled across. The WHOLE town is done up in a Western style.
This was an interesting sign, showing the cattle brands used in the area.
See, even the gas station has a Western storefront on it!
Shannon looking out over Diablo Lake.
It was an amazing greenish colour!
