I decide to make a Western shirt. Not sure which pattern to choose.
I opt for this one, which I used once last year. Then I made version A; this time I'm making version B (wider yoke and no pockets).
My fabric is lovely cotton shirting in black raspberry.
I'm making it entirely on my treadle. First project!
Cut pattern pieces with pattern.
This is the back yoke.
The yoke and back pieces.
I stay stitch the yoke edge.
I then turn the seam under at the stay stitching.
Here's the finished back yoke.
Here's as far as I got on Thursday.
So far, it looks OK.
Next day: flat felled seams at shoulders.
Front yoke right.
Front yoke left.
Flat-felled seam on side.
My beloved treadle, which I used to make the shirt.
Sunday: cuffs done, snaps on.
From the back.
Snaps on cuff.
Underarm point where flat-felled seams cross.
Front left side.
I like it!
