On the way to CO - evidence she sleeps.
What most of the drive looked like. I didn't have the camera handy for the prettier scenes. Silly me!
Here we are. Stopped.
Made it to Papa's house in time for appetizers and fun in his beautiful yard.
Dropping pennies in their fountain.
The view from their back porch.
Gimme more money!
Trouble on a swing!
Double trouble. No swing needed. :p
The side of their house. Such beautiful landscaping all around the place!
From inside the club house.
Up inside the play house, trying to close the flap.
Clubhouse from the outside. Mia making faces...
Again. Clubhouse.
Lyla loves her Uncle Les.
Anthony being a sweet, sweet sharing cousin. Oh so cute.
Cute kids by a fountain.
There's nothing in my mouth. Nope.
The Thinker.
When pigs fly...?
Lyla loves her cousins. They have candy.
Sometimes she just loves them though. Cause they're awesome.
Emma up in the clubhouse.
Shirtless wonder up in the clubhouse.
Lyla's shirt drying.
Awww Zoe. Growing up too fast.
The puppy at the Inn where we stayed in the mountains. Lyla enjoyed him quite a bit.
Trouble makers harrassing the puppy...
He just wanted to be like Les and wear blue and white stripes.
Anthony has figured out how much his aunt likes to photograph and has taken to posing for me. All on his own. Hee hee.
Mmmm trail mix. What's a Rocky Mountain without it?
Rehearsal dinner!
So. Hungry. Oh... so hungry.
The back patio at the restaurant. Complete with rocks and sticks. Two of Lyla's favorite things... especially when dressed up!
An additional partner in crime.
Aren't they just the cutest?
Leon looking all Leon-ish.
Enter the couple of the hour... Lucinda, who was nicknamed "Barbie."
And Sam, who could've been James Bond?
I killed time with Lyla out on the sidewalk while we waited for dinner.
Watching very intently...
... the piano man! Lyla loved him. She asked him to play Elmo. Hehehe.
Then she and her buddy danced... even though it wasn't to "Elmo."
Poor sleepy Anthony. He stayed like this for a few hours.
Lyla singing into the waiter's tray holder. She is a ham.
They danced.
And kissed.
And they danced, too.
Wedding day! Killing time at a park near our Inn.
She doesn't actually have a face this fat, but swinging makes it fatter, apparently.
The gold mine across the street. We will go there later. And leave.
Mermaid Les.
Sssssssssnake.
Went to a local pizza place for lunch.
She's a pinball wizard!
Followed by the gold mine tour.
Rather than pan for gold, Lyla placed rocks in the water by the fistful.
Les found some ... gravel.
And then came the 30 minute lecture / video presentation that would put even the mining enthusiast to sleep.
I escaped the video with Lyla. We'd rather be in jail.
We didn't make it to the actual mine due to the need to nap and prepare for the wedding. :(
We found a friend back at the Inn.
Lyla dressed and ready to go to the wedding. No, not trick-or-treating.
Finally at the wedding site. A scary ordeal even not 8-months pregnant.
The last part of the drive up the mountain had to be on foot.
Anthony struck a pose again. Not sure what this one was about.
Wise Guys.
Sky.
Ready to do her thing.
Sam seating his mom.
Upon seeing my adorable daughter.
Sam's best wo-man.
Enter cuteness.
To keep her happy while the ceremony was going on, I let her play in the dirt.
Anthony snuggled in Luke's jacket.
Then Lyla wanted to "do it again."
Now glow-stix and dancing!
Some men positioned themselves at the foot of the dance floor. I think they were hoping to catch anyone before they flew over the edge.
Chocolate in the car on the (looooong) way home.
She was very proud of her brown fingers and refused to allow me to clean them because she wanted to lick them.
Luke claimed to "like this road."
Back home... stuff to do! Baby on the way SOON!
Wall-E loves a good bouncey seat.
Lyla testing out the diaper pail liner.
At last Baby Brudder's room is ready!
Lyla's Baby Sally breaking in the seat.
Ice cream man came by again. Yay!
Mmmm.
Lyla *hearts* ice cream.
THIEF!
Tell me you don't see Sally in this face?
Aunt Shannon visted and did Lyla's hair. Hee hee.
Lyla did her toes.
Modeling Brudder's blanket that Mommy made.
In anticipation of Baby Brudder, we took Lyla to the lake to spend some 2:1 time with her.
Picnic dinner time! RUN!
Someone sat in the water.
A little playground time...
I love this kid.
So does this guy.
Luke as transportation.
Lyla's prefered method of transportation: the pants stool.
Pushing REALLY hard.
Lyla is a proud supporter of Speedo. She loves Mommy's goggles and various swim caps from college.
