CHURCH CANDLIGHT CEREMONY 122111
Our church held a candle light ceremony instead of our regular Wednesday night Prayer Meeting last night, Dec 21, 2011. Each group came to the altar and light each of their candles from the main one and told of how they felt and things about when "their light started to shine". One candle can light a small area, but several together can illuminate a bigger space as Pastor Ooten explained with passages from John 8:12' "I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." and Matt 5:14,15 and 16. "neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16. Let you light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
