Huangshan National GeoPark - Anhui, China
Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) is named after the mythical Yellow Emperor -- the ancestor of all Chinese. It is one of the most famous mountains in China. They day I was there (on a Monday), they estimated about 5-6,000 visitors; the day before (Sunday) had about 8,000 visitors; on Oct 3, 2012 (during the National Day Holiday), they recorded 57,000 visitors; total for one year is about 15 million visitors. This is one of three mountain top sites that are developed for tourists.
